Outline

DIPIPM (Dual Inline Package Intelligent Power Module) is a high-function IPM produced

for inverters of home electric appliances primarily.

Featuring a built-in chip and a transfer mold structure,

Ver. 4 or later version uses a highly thermal conductive insulating sheet and achieves further miniaturization.

It has a built-in high voltage IC (HVIC) with a high voltage level shift circuit,

removing the need for a photocoupler to carry the input signal from the microcomputer.

It also uses a bootstrap power supply that allows the independent power supply for the IGBT drive

on the upper arm (P-side) of the 3-phase inverter connection to operate as a single power supply.
