THE COCKTAIL鸡尾酒

In the late 1980s, the Canellas thought of mixing their fruity, sparkling wine with fresh fruit and so they launched a bottled version of the famous Venetian cocktail, Bellini, followed by Rossini and Mimosa. All three were very successful worldwide.

Bellini is a cocktail which is composed of two parts of sparkling wine, one part of white peach juice (obtained from select, perfectly ripe peaches) and a few drops of wild raspberry. It is a classic aperitif, with an inebriating peach fragrance.

Bellini is the result of the fruit drink processing technology perfected by Canella after many years of long research, which guarantees its naturalness. It is best enjoyed chilled (best kept in the refrigerator and chilled for quarter of an hour in the freezer before serving).

THE STORY起源

In the 1980s, Luciano Canella, an established maker of sparkling wines in the area around Venice and Treviso and a keen observer of the market and consumer needs, took an interest in the new trend towards healthier low-alcohol and low-calorie drinks He came up with the idea of making a cocktail based on sparkling wine, however, unlike other Italian producers and taking the lead from what was happening in the States, he decided to use premium quality fresh fruit, pressed in the same way as cocktails made to order. The chosen drink was the Bellini, the world- famous Venetian cocktail; in 1988, after extensive studies and research into the possibility of bottling and conserving this special preparation without using preservatives, the Cantina Canella started making Bellini in a bottle. As well as its own sparkling wine, Canella uses the succulent Maria Bianca variety of peaches, specially selected from the best Emilia Romagna strains and then grown in the company’s own groves in San Donà, so as to be able to directly manage all phases in the cultivation of the fruit. The white peaches are in fact left on the tree until they have the perfect sugar content and fragrance that only sun ripening on the tree can guarantee. They are then peeled, destoned and pressed, and finally mixed with the sparkling wine, it too made on site from local grapes. As a result, the Bellini cocktail, Venetian in the true sense of the word, can be enjoyed all over the world at any time of the year.
