Detector Technical Notes:

* ZBDs/QODs require no bias. Biased detectors (DDs), requiring ~1uA bias current, are also available

at the same price and performance.

* Responsivity: Values are typical across the band, responsivity decreases toward the band edges.

* ZBDs/QODs are always shipped with an internal ESD protection circuit, unless otherwise specified on

the PO. While this circuit protects the diode from ESD, it also reduces the detector response to

~250kHz.

* For high-speed or pulsed applications the PO must request that the ZBD be shipped with an external /

removable ESD circuit.

* With this external circuit attached the maximum response is ~50kHz, but when it is removed the

response is >GHz, albeit with added risk of ESD damage.
