Applications—The excellent conformability and release properties of the

PTFE backing, along with the high-temperature capabilities of the 2265,

make the tape ideal for applications such as composite lay-up, roller

wrapping, plate masking and other uses where costly clean up is a

problem.

Features/Benefits—2265 is an extruded, high-modulus PTFE tape

utilizing a high temperature clean release silicone adhesive. 2265 has

excellent chemical resistance and lies flat. The PTFE backing also

provides an anti-friction and an easy release surface.

Availability—Factory stock for 2265 is in master rolls 33m x 254mm. Rolls

can be slit in widths from 6.35mm to 254mm. This material can also be

supplied with a release liner if needed.

CHR® 2275

Film-PTFE (Extruded, Oriented, High-Modulus)

CHR® 2275-2 is manufactured from extruded, oriented, highmodulus

PTFE film coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive.

Applications—2275-2 is designed to be used as a high-temperature “roller

wrap” tape in the production of polyethylene/polypropylene laminates.

During this process, the plastic is extruded onto a substrate as it passes

through a number of rolls. The tape is wrapped around the rolls to protect

the exposed ends of the rollers from the molten plastic, thus preventing

build-up of the plastic on the roll surface. The high-temperature capabilities

and exceptional durability of 2275-2 enables the tape to be used for long

continuous laminating production runs. 2275-2 can also be used to

fabricate belts used in laminating applications as well as other applications

that require the temperature and release properties of the tape.

Features/Benefits—The oriented PTFE film used to make the 2275-2

adhesive tape is processed to provide high tensile strength and exceptional

abrasion resistance while maintaining the superior release properties

offered by PTFE. The specially formulated, high-temperature silicone

adhesive has excellent adhesion both to the surface to which the tape is

being applied as well as to its own backing when wrapped on itself to

assure that the tape stays bonded during the application. 2275-2 removes

cleanly after use and is pigmented to facilitate visual inspection during use.

CHR® 2045 is manufactured from skived PTFE film coated with

high-temperature silicone adhesive.

on packaging equipment and heat sealing machines, roll coverings on

plastic extruders, guide rails, and angle bars in the graphic arts industry.

Features/Benefits—One side of 2045 has a silicone pressure sensitive

adhesive and the other side offers low coefficient of friction PTFE film,

which is thin and conformable. PTFE backing offers excellent high

temperature resistance and is chemically inert. The tape construction is

stable and non-toxic.

Availability—Factory stock for 2045 is in master roll form 33m x 279mm

for 2045-2, 33m x 432mm for 2045-3, and 33m x 584mm for 2045-5 and

2045-10. Rolls can be slit 12.7mm wide through 279mm (2045-2),

432mm (2045-3) and 584mm (2045-5 and 2045-10). 2045 is available
