3M™ Panaflex™ Awning and Sign Facing 945 GPS

is intended only for these applications. Any other

application is NOT warranted by 3M or covered by

the worldwide 3M™ MCS™ (Matched Component

System) Warranty unless 3M gives its prior written

approval for the application.

· Create attractive day and night graphics for use

in many types of signs and awnings

· Attach to variety of framework

· Decorate before or after attaching to the

framework

Limitations of End Uses

· Decorate only the front surface of this substrate

· For the best looking signs and awnings, do not

remove and then re-use Panaflex awning and

sign facing 945 GPS. Redecorating and re-using

the substrate is not recommended or warranted

by 3M

· 3M Commercial Graphics Division products are

not tested against automotive manufacturers’

specifications and are therefore not warranted

for use in fabricating graphics for automotive

Notes:

1. Roll widths up to 203cm (80 inches) are seam

free.

2. Roll widths wider than 203cm are fabricated

using 203cm material seamed at 200cm centres

+1.3 to 2.5cm. All seamed rolls begin and end

with a full 203cm panel. The maximum seam

length is 12.2m.

3. Seam free roll goods are shipped subject to the

limitations contained in the roll map that is

shipped with each roll. Please refer to this roll

map in determining suitability for intended

purpose.

4. Panaflex substrate, 203cm or less in width, may

contain the low visibility splice. This patent

process makes it possible for 3M to offer

continuous rolls of Panaflex™ Substrate that is

all useable. The low visibility splice will be a

minimum intrusion into a back-lit graphic.

CAUTION: If you are seaming this material

into larger sizes, do not include

the splice in material to be

seamed. Splices cannot be used

in seamed faces at this time.

Do not allow a splice closer than 120cm (4 feet) from

a mounting clamp or material support.

Standard Seam

All rolls or custom sign blanks wider than 203cm are

fabricated using a 3M manufactured standard

overlap seam. This seam must be located a minimum

distance of 45cm (18 inches) from any attachment

hardware to prevent creating high stress forces

under wind load conditions.

Panaflex 945 GPS Substrate is distinguishable from

other brands of flexible materials by the

identification printed on the backside and white

pigmented front and back surfaces. Also, the front

surface of the material is smooth and exhibits a

semi–gloss level similar to that of Scotchcal 3630

Series Translucent Film.
